Readers of "Why Does He Do That?" - Lundy Bancroft

I wondered why the book had come my way, I didnt feel the need to look backwards yet again at a 16 year relationship I had left almost 4 years earlier and lay "blame" on anyone for why it hadnt worked out.  But this book opened my eyes to just how cotrolling my ex-partner had been, all my shattered dreams, convinced at the age of 36 years I was too old to have children (it was not fair to the child) so many things became clear I am no longer in a controlling relationship and thanks to the book, I dont believe I will ever put up with that sort of behaviour again - recognising it in the early stages before being committed.  Recently a friend of mine entered a relationship with a person who seems to have agressive/abusive tendencies and now I see the real reason for the book coming my way...  Empowerment: for myself and others. With the knowledge and clarity I received from Lundy Bancroft's amazing book, I can support my friend, articulate my concerns and give real meaning to those "odd feelings" that say that all the boxes are ticked, but something just doesnt feel right.  Thanks Lundy. Love and laughter - and no boundaries.
